LEDs, due to their wide range of application, are the most ideal solution for generator all sorts of lightings. This means of illumination has more advantages than any other form of lighting, starting with the most obvious: it is the most energy-saving and efficient light on the market, converting 90% of the power into light and only the rest into heat. LED lights are also much friendlier to the environment, since they contain no poisonous Mercury like fluorescent lights do, and most of their parts are recyclable, making the disposal of these items much easier and friendlier to our environment. LEDs are also insensitive to shock and vibration, so in many situations where an incandescent light bulb would simply blow out, LEDs survive with no effect on their lifespan or performance.
One feature of LED lights really makes the difference: there extremely long lifespan. Today, even the simplest LED solutions have minimum 25 000 hours lifespan, but some might reach up to 100 000 hours all together. That means these lights, once installed, will be working fine for years to come. That gives another good reason for us to use these revolutionary lighting solutions: the very little or even zero maintenance during their operation. Obviously, this makes LED lights ideal for all places which are hard to access, or require extra investment and equipment to maintain.
In a household for instance, LEDs are ideal for any applications where the change of the light bulb requires the help of an electrician, such as downlighters, spotlights at hidden places or high places: above staircases, in soffits or attics, in high ceilings, or even inside various pieces of furniture. Though installing LED lights for all your lamps is the best solution for simply the sake of energy saving, if it is difficult to get the lights changed at a certain spot, make sure you use LEDs.
LED lights can be a help huge for businesses and public places as well. A warehouse where the ceiling is higher than the regular, or in halls of hotels, theatres, any reception area, at corridors with high ceilings or stairways even with regular ceiling heights, etc are all potential places for exclusively LED lighting decorations for buildings. One of the recent LED applications is LED street lamps, which are combined with renewable sources of energy. These street lights do not only require zero maintenance during their operation but are also cheaper to set up, and have no operational costs. LED street lamps come with one of the longest lasting LEDs, having approximately 100 000 hours of lifespan.
This means that in the UK for instance, they can last up to 25 years as well without any maintenance. Solar panels attached to the top of these lights supply the LEDs with energy, and since the LEDs require minimal power for operation, panels do not need to be high performance ones either. Setting up these poles is cheap as well, since they need no wiring underneath and are usually easier to set up. The reliability is another advantage of LED lights, as mentioned before they are insensitive to shocks and vibration, which comes handy in a windy weather or in case of a smaller accident.
